Connecting Black communities for collective power

The Black Future Co-op Fund connects Black people and communities across Washington to support each other in healing, to share ideas, and to build a common agenda for change. Through our united efforts, we generate sustainable progress that propels Black prosperity and well-being.

Promoting a truthful Black narrative

By centering Black voices and experiences, we recognize and uplift the true narrative of Black people across Washington. We honor the mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers, aunties and uncles, children and grandparents who are vital members of our society, and we carry forward their legacy.

Investing in Black generational prosperity

Black people being heard and walking in our power to shape our communities, workplaces, and governments make society better. Across Washington, Black people are leading transformative work, and we support their efforts. We fund the pursuits of Black communities and Black-led organizations that strengthen health, education, and economic opportunity for Black people.

Shifting the paradigm of philanthropy

Intentional investment in Black well-being fashions a new model for philanthropy that celebrates Black genius, art, culture, and joy. In everything we do, the Black perspective is elevated and the humanity of Black people is honored. With a collaborative and community mindset, we aim to further Black liberation.
